Compost is organic matter that has been decomposed in a process called composting. This process recycles various organic materials otherwise regarded as waste products and produces a soil conditioner (the compost).
Recycling is the process of converting waste materials into new materials and objects. It is an alternative to "conventional" waste disposal that can save material and help lower greenhouse gas emissions. Recycling can prevent the waste of potentially useful materials and reduce the consumption of fresh raw materials, thereby reducing: energy usage, air pollution (from incineration), and water pollution (from landfilling).
A landfill site (also known as a tip, dump, rubbish dump, garbage dump or dumping ground) is a site for the disposal of waste materials by burial. It is the oldest form of waste treatment.
What materials can be recycled infinitely:
(only if clean and dry)
Glass | Aluminum | Cardboard | Steel Cans | Mixed Paper
(company that recycles everything)
The Zero Waste Movement
• does not promote hate and downgrading others for their choices; it inspires positive and healthy changes
• does not ask one to follow any specific diet, only inspires to think about other choices
• does not fully ask for one to be zero waste (as that is impossible), but to create as less waste as possible
• is a form of investment; products can be pricy sometimes, but are mostly cheap and last a long time
• in a way supports minimalism and essentialism, but does not require it
• inspires one to do as much as it is able; reminds one that making 1 healthy swap is better than none
